Atlas House, 1 King Street

Ashford won the competitive tender to carry the re-commissioning of the services within Atlas House, No.1 King Street in the City of London

Atlas House, No 1 King Street London Ashford won the competitive tender to carry the re-commissioning of the services within Atlas House, No.1 King Street in the City of London. It soon became apparent that there were serious failings in both plant and control systems and Ashford were then instructed to carry out a full validation survey of all mechanical plant and control systems. The process was especially difficult as the building was not only fully occupied, but had multiple tenants requiring close and diplomatic liaison to gain access above ceiling within each demise.

Ashford were then given a post survey order to replace all the existing main plant controls with a new DDC system and fit new control panels within both the boiler house and chiller plant rooms. New terminal controls were also fitted to terminal devices on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Some of the tenants would not agree to new controls on their floors and therefore final re-commissioning was limited to the main plant, main distribution and floors where remedials were carried out.

Environmental conditions were improved to all areas with new controls and significant running cost savings were realised by the land lord.
