Ashford have recently completed the manufacture of a modular pump housing which is currently being utilised on a large data centre project in the UK.
The bespoke housing contains inverter driven duty and standby pumps, in its current configuration with 300mm suction and discharge pipework it is connected to the system via 150mm braided stainless steel hoses and delivers over 300 litres second or 1 million litres an hour.
The modular housing was designed and specified by Ashford to solve the challenges of a large bore pipework system being installed but the power not being available until much later in the contract programme.
A consultation and design review was carried out with our installation partners from the GBE Group as to the feasibility of the manufacture of the equipment. After an exhaustive design period the equipment was manufactured at GBE’s factory situated in Rochester.
The housing has been designed in a way that it can be connected to a filtration housing allowing CPC filtration cleaning to be undertaken or direct to large bore pipework to take the place of system pumps.
The housing future proofs Ashford and allows us to work on some of the largest data centre projects in the United Kingdom & abroad.Again proving that Ashford are the company with the technical knowledge and equipment to solve any challenge that the industry puts in place.
