The project consisted of the conversion and extension of the old Gordon's Gin distillery to a state of the art communications switch site housing some 4000 switch cabinets.  The complex services installation included a 22MW 11kV LEB substation, 12 no. 3.2 MVA transformers, 6 no. 3.8 MVA generators, permanent load banks for testing 7MW AC/DC, 13 no. 1000 tonne chillers, 12no. main switch boards and 5000A busbars.  The £75M development had a mechanical and electrical services value in excess of £45M.
