On the banks of the River Thames in south east London lies one of the hidden treasures, Royal Arsenal Riverside. Berkeley Homes vision for the Royal Arsenal Riverside is to transform a derelict industrial ammunitions site into a beautiful, Thames-side destination with a flourishing community with first class transport connections.
The restoration of historic buildings is an important aspect of preserving the past. But more than this, it can also provide a stimulus and focal point for regeneration schemes, which create homes, jobs and promote a sense of wellbeing amongst the community which lives, works and plays in them.
Royal Arsenal Riverside is a superb riverside destination situated near the banks of the River Thames, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The 88 acre development is designed to create a whole new neighbourhood of nearly 5,000 homes where listed buildings and modern architecture combine to create a successful place with museums, cafes, bars, restaurants, health facilities, offices, shops and a new park.
Ashford have been providing management services on the project since 2017 across various phases, Inclusive of Water Treatment consultation, commissioning validation & witnessing.

Kidbrooke Village is located in one of London's most popular locations, the Royal Borough of Greenwich and comprises of four distinct neighbourhoods, integrated seamlessly into one community. These include: The Village Centre (Birch House, Centrum Court and Agora Court), Meridian Gate, Blackheath Quarter and City Point.
Kidbrooke was also home to the Ferrier Estate, built from 1968, and one of the largest and most deprived council housing developments in London. The housing estate was demolished in 2012 and redeveloped as Kidbrooke Village, a development of 4200 homes.
Ten hectares of land have been allocated as Metropolitan Open Land which forms a new ‘green river’ running through the centre of the masterplan. Taller residential buildings front this open space benefiting from views across public amenity facilities such as sports pitches, formal and informal gardens and outdoor performance space, with the scale of the buildings reducing towards the edges to respond to the context. Safe and attractive routes for pedestrians and cyclists are provided along ‘green fingers’ which run along all the desire lines and link to the surrounding neighbourhoods.
The project is a major regeneration scheme for the UK, led by Berkeley Homes with partners Greenwich Council. It will cost £1bn to deliver and transform a deprived area just smaller than Hyde Park into somewhere people love to live. Already early phases are complete and a community is emerging alongside 35 hectares of parkland and sports pitches.

The Power Station was decommissioned between 1975 and 1983 and remained empty until 2014. It was designated as a Grade II listed building in 1980. In 2007 its listed status was upgraded to Grade II*.
The station is one of the world's largest brick buildings and notable for its original, lavish Art Deco interior fittings and decor. The structure remained largely unused for more than 30 years after its closure; in 2008
Now the building and surrounding area is being brought back to life as one of the most exciting and innovative mixed-use neighbourhoods in the world – a place for locals, tourists and residents to enjoy a unique blend of restaurants, shops, parks and cultural spaces.
Plans include the construction of 3,400 apartments and 3,500,000-square-foot (330,000 m2) of office space. Approximately 28,000 inhabitants and 25,000 workers are expected to occupy the space once complete.
Ashford have been employed by the Battersea Power Station Development Corporation to deliver the water treatment, HVAC commissioning and management of the public health services within phase 2 of the project. The power station has been split into various workfaces with multiple mechanical sub-contractors, Ashford work across all these workfaces. Ashford commenced works on site in the middle of 2019 and the project is ongoing currently.

South Quay Plaza is a landmark development designed by world leading architects Foster + Partners. The building has been designed to maximise space in the 2.6 acres of gardens that surround it, allowing sunlight to flood the gardens and provide dual aspect views for many of the apartments.
Located just a few moments from the heart of London's fastest growing business district, London's Canary Wharf.
The 68 storey 220m building with 627 residential apartments will become part of a much larger development over time. With a hydraulic break at level 33 on the water services the pressures on the pipework are reduced to safe levels. However the building is being handed over sectionally every twenty floors which is a challenge that had to be overcome with the design and construction teams. Ashford were a key part of the development stages of the project prior to construction.
Ashford have been employed by Price Building Services to deliver the water treatment and HVAC commissioning. Ashford commenced works on site at the begining of 2019 and the project is ongoing currently.
